Begun in 1922, the Walker Cup is the premiere amateur team competition in the world, pitting a 10-man team from the United States against a 10-man team from Great Britain and Ireland in a biennial two-day competition, featuring foursomes and singles matches. The 2007 Walker Cup matches were played September 8-9 at Royal Country Down Golf Club in Northern Ireland. For more information, visit www.walkercup.org.
